BACKGROUND
I have been working at creative agencies for the past 8 years where I grew into a design generalist, becoming well-knowledged in various design fields and creating designs with impact in both print and digital media. I have designed for a variety of clients including food & beverage, spa & beauty, hospitality, startups, tech, non-governmental organisations and government entities.
My work doesn’t stop on paper and screen. For over a decade, I have been involved in the movement for LGBTIQ rights in Malta with a focus on education, intersectionality, inclusion, and social justice. It started with a youth and student LGBTQQI organisation in education and awareness, and later, I was a volunteer and co-coordinator of the Malta LGBTIQ Rights Movement (MGRM) for six years.
At MGRM, I contributed to the development and implementation of community projects and educational resources, as well as worked on design and communications. I also represented the organisation in national and international meetings with NGOs, stakeholders, and government bodies. Throughout this work, I focused on gender diversity, combatting hate speech and misinformation, inclusive education, communications and reproductive rights.
